Nearly all of us would like to see our name in lights. Or maybe just a photograph of your garden in a bok on raingardens?Seeking photographs for rain garden book
Cleo Woelfle-Erskine (of Greywater Action) and Apryl Uncapher (author of the San Francisco Rainwater Harvesting Guide) are writing a raingarden how-to book for Timber Press. The book will be published in 2012. We’re looking for photographs of home-scale rainwater harvesting
strategies, including:
* rain gardens,
* swales,
* permeable pavement,
* living roofs,
* “berm and basins”
* any other front yard, back yard, or curb-strip strategies for infiltrating runoff.Please note, rain barrels are great IF they overflow into a basin or swale.
We can offer you photo credit and a copy of the book if we use your photos, and payment if your photo ends up on the cover.We’re especially looking for photographs from the Southeast and Northeast U.S., photographs in different seasons, and photographs that show the rain garden full of rain. Closeups are great too!
Please send photographs to waterunderground@gmail.com. For each photograph, include:
- City and state where the rain garden is located
- Name of designer/builder, homeowner or renter, and photographer
- When the rain garden was constructed
- Where runoff originates (roof, driveway, lawn)
- Any special features of the rain garden
Thanks!!
